As the Groda Product Pod approaches the end of its 6-month mandate, the pod would like to conduct a temperature check to review the achievements and receive feedback from the community to get a sense of the DAO’s desire to have the Groda Product Pod running for another term. This temperature check includes an informal forum poll and is being held in advance of setting up an official proposal for Groda’s next 6-month term.

Groda Pod Budget and Spending
As per the initial Groda Pod proposal, the total budget was 610,000 USDC. As of today (6th March 2023) the Groda pods multi-sig balance is 248,203.21 USDC. Considering the contributor compensation payments that are due by the end of this month, Groda pod will have a projected budget surplus of approximately 200k USDC. A final budget reconciliation will be shared with the DAO at the end of the period. In case of a proposal approval, the surplus will be reconciled and utilized to fund the next term of Groda pod, or in case of rejection will be returned to the DAO treasury.
Improving goal-setting and coordination
Through the experience in the previous term, Groda has realized that it could improve its focus on delivering results that bring the most value and executing them at a faster pace. To address this, Groda has established dedicated Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and is utilizing the Coordinape platform to enhance accountability, establish short feedback loops, and recognize skills and behaviors that drive impactful results.
Next steps
The Groda pod’s goal is to continuously improve its performance and ensure that Groda is delivering value to the Gro DAO community. Groda welcomes feedback from the community on past performance and the value we have delivered, and we are eager to hear the community’s suggestions on how the Groda Pod can further enhance operations to achieve its goals.
Following this temperature check, a separate official Groda Pod extension proposal will be created that will incorporate the feedback from the community and will outline the roadmap and future OKRs in detail. At a high level, roadmap items will include: the Go-Live of the OnRamp Comparator, implementation of Governor Bravo, creation of Alerting and Monitoring for G2, ensuring safety and correctness of G2, and conducting product ideation to develop new products that align with the DAO’s mission to empower people to get more from Web3.
Groda Team is looking forward to hearing your feedback.
