Dear Gromies,
We are absolutely thrilled to inform you of the imminent launch of the upgraded version of our protocol, G2. As we continue to forge ahead in the exciting world of decentralized finance (DeFi), we are dedicated to providing you with a more secure and enjoyable experience.
The migration to G2 will be executed on 27.02.2023 before 18:00 UTC, and we are eager to introduce you to the new features that come with this upgrade. First and foremost, G2 boasts of a significantly improved level of security and better composability.
One of the major highlights of G2 is its redesigned architecture, which modularizes each of its Vaults, strategies and tranching components. By doing this, we have been able to reduce the number of dependencies, which ultimately leads to less complexity and increased security.
As a user, we want to assure you that there is no need for any action on your part regarding the upcoming protocol migration. The dedicated development team, Groda, will handle all the technical details of the migration, and we have put in place thorough testing and migration planning to ensure a seamless transition process together with the First pod. You can continue to use Gro’s platform as usual, and your funds will remain safe and secure. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to us on our official Discord #support channel, and we will be happy to address them.
At Gro DAO, we pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of security, and G2 has gone through an incredibly rigorous testing process. We subjected it to three rounds of smart contract audits from Fixed Point Solutions (Kurt Barry), Trail of Bits and from yAcademy, followed by a community-driven crowd-testing phase, and finally, we deployed and tested it on the Ethereum mainnet with DAO assets. Going forward, we want you to know that Gro Protocol’s $1,000,000 bug bounty on Immunefi will continue to cover G2, providing you with added peace of mind.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has been involved in the development and testing phase of G2. Your invaluable contribution has been instrumental in bringing us to this point, and we look forward to your continued support as we migrate to G2 and continue to innovate in the web3 space.
Thank you,
The Gro Protocol Team
